A garage door company that lifts the door by hand before it names a price
We started because the fastest-growing county in the country runs on one-story homes with a two-car garage, and the people who live behind those doors kept getting a part sold to them before anyone checked the spring.

Marion County is the fastest-growing metro in the United States two years running by the Census Bureau's count, 442,660 people in July 2025 and most of them in a one-story house with a two-car garage. A fifth of Ocala's residents are 65 or older; the 55-plus communities along SR 200, in Summerfield and in The Villages add tens of thousands more. In those homes the garage door is the front door, and it opens a dozen times a day in heat, humidity and the heaviest lightning in the country. The springs go on cycle count, the cables rust at the bottom, and the opener board dies in a storm. None of that is complicated, but it does take someone who will diagnose before quoting.
Ocala Garage Door Works is a locally operated garage door company, not a franchise or a national call center, that books and manages residential and commercial garage door work across Ocala, Silver Springs Shores, Belleview, Summerfield, Dunnellon, Marion Oaks, the SR 200 corridor, The Villages and Lady Lake. The technicians who do the work carry general liability and workers' compensation, and new-door installations are done under a City of Ocala or Marion County permit by an installer holding the County's garage door competency card.
What we stand on
Diagnose first, then quote
The opener comes off and the door gets lifted by hand before anyone talks about parts. A heavy door is a spring problem; a light door with a dead motor is an opener problem; a crooked door is a cable or a roller. The technician checks all of it, then writes the price, then waits for your yes.
The right part, as a pair
Springs measured and sized to the door's weight, replaced in pairs, with high-cycle options for the doors here that open a dozen times a day. Cables replaced in pairs with new bottom brackets when they've rusted. Nothing replaced that doesn't need it.
Rated for the wind, with the paperwork
Every new door carries Florida Product Approval and is specified to the design pressure the permit requires for the opening, installed with the struts and brackets the rating calls for, and documented for a wind mitigation inspection or a My Safe Florida Home claim. Architectural committees get their submittal first.
Answer the phone
Calls are answered 24 hours a day, including hurricane nights, and a technician calls back to schedule, the same day for a door that won't open or close. Technicians work seven days a week.
